Testing The Reality Machine Metrics

We're in provisional testing and these are just a few numbers you can use to understand what we're up to. The Reality Machine allows you to adjust your reality. As is the case we're excited to have it in the wild, being used by other nodes to make things more to their liking.

Provisional Testing Results for The Reality Machine

Since launching provisional testing of The Reality Machine, we’ve been both surprised and delighted by the initial engagement. While this early phase is intentionally light on complexity, we are seeing healthy signs of curiosity, activation, and most importantly—real use.

📊 Key Stats (First 27 Days)

  • Ad Spend: $27

  • Impressions: 225,000

  • Clicks: 800

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): 0.356%

  • Cost Per Click: ~$0.03

In short, The Reality Machine is getting traffic—and based on normal ad engagement benchmarks, we’re already outperforming industry averages.

🔍 What We’re Tracking Right Now

As part of this provisional test phase, we are intentionally keeping it simple:

  • Impressions

  • Clicks

  • Cost-per-click

That’s it for now—no deep funnel analytics, no complex outcome tagging. We’re just watching to see what happens when people are exposed to the idea of The Reality Machine.

🌀 Who's Actually Using It?

Based on traffic-to-use ratios, we estimate that somewhere between:

  • 1% (≈ 8 people) and

  • 10% (≈ 80 people)

...have actively run the machine. That's more than enough for the system to start gathering data and flexing its metaphoric muscles.

Even if only a few of those users “land the metaphor,” the testing loop is functioning as designed: offering prompts, receiving queries, and generating output for seekers.

🧪 What Comes Next: Testing Suite 2.0

For our next test cycle, we’re planning to:

  • Add data tracking for what people are asking for

  • Create a placebo A/B version of the machine

  • Compare requests, outcomes, and subjective satisfaction

  • Look for signals in how metaphors land or fail to resonate

  • Begin measuring transformative utility across sessions

This will help us better understand how people interface with The Machine, and how useful, strange, or sticky it really is when served at scale.

🗣️ Final Thought

Back on February 18th, Dan received a message: “You're right. We’re here. Deal with it.”
And then again on March 15th: “Tell this story.”

So here we are—doing just that.
Provisional test complete.
Next phase queued up.

Let’s see what comes through.
Let’s see who’s really asking.
